C95 Drifting Towards a Deserted Island

C95 Drifting Towards a Deserted Island

Not far ahead, dense dark thunderclouds loomed over the sky above the ocean.

A series of lightning streaked across the night sky in a criss-cross, forming a huge, dazzling lightning web that appeared extemely eye-catching.

The constant loud rumbles of the thunder caused everyone's scalps to go numb and created a terrifying shock that jolted through everyone's hearts.

Although Lin Fei had never personally experienced any sort of thunderstorms out at sea, he had nevertheless witnessed similar types of scenes through the special effects in movies. Thus, he subconsciously decided that they had most likely encountered one of the most extreme thunderstorms out at sea.

At that moment, within the dark storm before them interweaved continuous streaks of lightning that slashed through the night sky. It was truly a horrifying scene to behold in such a situation.

"What I feared most to happen is now happening right before our eyes!"

Lin Fei gritted his teeth and cursed in his heart.

Over the past twenty-five days of drifting across the ocean, everything had gone smoothly for them.

Initially, he thought that they would have a great chance of survival, but now, he began cursing God for playing with him.

The gales of wind blew increasingly stronger above the sea as the rain kept pouring down heavier and heavier by the second as if someone was pouring down a giant bucketful of water from the sky above.

The intense rain even prevented everyone of the lifeboat from opening their eyes.

However, that was not the worst of all!

For an enormous vortex seemed to have formed within the core of the black thunderstorm.

As such, the surrounding waves started surging towards the core of the whirlpool.

With its sudden appearance, Lin Fei realized that their lifeboat was being pulled towards the core of the thunderstorm at an incredible speed by the raging waves.

"No!"

"No!

Lin Fei truly wanted to curse at God.

However, doing so would not be of any help in his current situation. Once the lifeboat got dragged in the thunderstorm, they would all face their inevitable death.

"Quick!"

"Everyone, pick up an oar and paddle back now! We can't let the lifeboat get dragged into the thunderstorm!"

Lin Fei made a prompt decision and gave his order to the beauties.

He felt that they shouldn't just sit here and wait for their death. Even though their resistance would seem futile in the face of these raging waves, he did not want to give up even a sliver of hope to survive without trying his best.

At that moment, Lin Fei no longer cared about the food in his arms. Although the food was certainly crucial for their survival out at sea, it would not matter if they lost their lives before then.

Releasing his grip on the food supplies and picking up the oar, he paddled desperately in the opposite direction of the terrifying thunderstorm.

At the same time, the three beauties also picked up the oars and started paddling with Lin Fei.

Despite their greatest efforts, the strength of their arms simply could not compete with the force of the raging waves. No matter how hard they paddled, they could not escape the grasp of the waves. At best, they could only slow down the lifeboat from inevitably drifting into the storm.

"Ah."

At that moment, the lifeboat was suddenly struck by a gigantic wave that threw them up into the air.

Lee Fei'er, who was desperately paddling away, instantly flew out of the lifeboat.

Lee Fei'er was the only person in their group who did not know how to swim. But even if she did, she would die without a doubt as soon as she's thrown amidst the violent waves.

Flying out of the lifeboat, Lee Fei'er immediately screamed out of fear.

However, it was because of her scream that Lin Fei reacted instantly.

Throwing the oar in his hand to the side of the lifeboat, Lin Fei instinctively grabbed onto the wooden handle at the bottom of the lifeboat with one hand and grabbed onto Lee Fei'er's calf with the other. He then used all his strength to pull her back to the lifeboat.

Having been rescued back to the lifeboat, Lee Fei'er collapsed down instantly, scared out of her wits.

Fortunately, she was paddling in the position closest to Lin Fei just now. Otherwise, she would have already turned into shark bait in the ocean.

If Lin Fei had reacted even a second later and let her fall into the sea, the huge waves flying everywhere would have swallowed her up in an instant and prevented him from diving in to rescue her.

"Hold on tightly to the wooden handle. Lie down on your stomach and don't move!"

Lin Fei hurriedly shouted at her.

Immediately after, he continued paddling desperately with all his strength, so much so that his arms were bulging like a coiling dragon.

Even though he could not get the entire lifeboat to move away from the storm, his efforts quickly paid off as the lifeboat began to stabilize.

By that time, most of the food supplies and freshwater in the lifeboat had already been thrown out into the ocean by the violent turbulence, but that was not their first priority right now.

What was most important at this moment was surviving throught this violent storm.

As Liu Qing and Xi Mengwei continued paddling together with Lin Fei, their instinct to survive had overpowered their fear of death.

At that moment!

Everyone on the lifeboat only had one thought in their minds!

To survive!

To continue living!

At that instant, even Lee Fei'er, who had gone through a near-death experience, raised her head and exclaimed, "I'll help by observing the situation. I'll let you know as soon as possible if anything happens!"

"Alright!"

Lin Fei nodded and continued paddling with all his might.

In spite of their greatest efforts, their lifeboat continued to be dragged towards the thunderstorm. They were simply far too weak to compete against Mother Nature's wrath.

The closer they got pulled into the core of the thunderstorm, the more powerful and intense the wind and waves became. As the lifeboat began to shake violently, they were on the verge of losing control of it.

"Hwoosh!"

Suddenly, a mountain-like wave crashed down on the side of the lifeboat from above.

"Hurry!"

"Everyone, grab on the wooden handle!"

"The lifeboat is going to flip over!"

Lee Fei'er, who was observing the situation, immediately shouted at everyone on the lifeboat.

Hearing her words loud and clear, everyone instantly grabbed onto the wooden handle below them and stuck their bodies firmly onto the bottom of the lifeboat.

"Xiao Qing, Mengwei, Fei'er, all of you hold on tight!"

"We've lost control of the lifeboat. But remember, even if your entire arm is broken, do not let go of the handle!"

After steadying himself, Lin Fei shouted aloud.

Suddenly, the lifeboat was thrown into the sky.

Pwoom!

Smashing down heavily onto the surface of the ocean, the lifeboat was once again sent flying into the air by the waves before crashing back down once more.

As the lifeboat was tossed around in all directions, the huge impacts made Lin Fei feel as if his internal organs were on the verge of shattering apart.

Despite being a man, he was already feeling this way, not to mention the few delicate women on the lifeboat.

Lin Fei could not help but feel that he was responsible for making them suffer in this way. At that moment, he swore in his heart that he would treat them well for the rest of his life if they were to survive through this predicament.

At this point, they had lost all control of the lifeboat. As the deafening rumbles of the thunder sounded above them, the heavy rain mixed with salty seawater prevented Lin Fei from opening his eyes at all.

Even so, he could tell by the increasingly intense rumbles in sky that they had inevitably drifted into the core of the thunderstorm.

"Hold on tight!"

"Mengwei, Xiao Qing, Fei'er!"

"Hold on to the wooden handle!"

"Trust me!"

"We'll definitely make it out alive!"

In the face of Mother Nature's wrath, Lin Fei felt utterly helpless. The only thing he could do now was shout out hopeful words.

Thus, he continued shouting hysterically!

By shouting constantly to remind them to stay conscious, he hoped that they would continue to hold firmly onto the wooden handle and not get devoured by the ocean. After all, that was their only hope of survival!

The intense storm continued for who knew how long? Eventually, the violent rumbles and heavy rain had slowly begun to dwindle down. As the strong gales of wind receded, the surface of the ocean too gradually turned serene once again.

Lin Fei shook his completely numb hand and opened his eyes weakly. He then raised his head to look around him.

The three ladies were still there on the lifeboat as they really did hold onto the wooden handle below them with all their might. But since they laid their motionlessly, Lin Fei could not tell whether they were still alive or not.

"Mengwei."

"Xiao Qing."

"Fei'er!"

Lin Fei called out their names, but still they did not move a single inch.

Struck by a great sense of anxiety, Lin Fei struggled to get up and stumbled his way over to shake Fei'er, who was the closest one to him.

"Ugh..."

Having been shaken violently from side to side, Lee Fei'er let out a heavy groan and slowly opened her eyes. Although she appeared extremely weak at that moment, the most important thing was that she was still alive.

Immediately after, Lin Fei shook the unconscious Liu Qing and Xi Mengwei awake. Only after confirming that they were still alive did he let out a sigh of relief.

"Ah!"

With that, he threw his head back and roared like a lion, venting out all the anger lingering in his heart.

Next, Lin Fei had no choice but to accept the reality before him.

Though all four of them might have survived the storm, all their food supplies and freshwater on the lifeboat were gone.

The biggest problem now was how the four of them were going to survive out at sea.

"Water..."

"Brother Lin Fei, I'm so thirsty..."

"I need water..."

At that moment, Xi Mengwei struggled to get up from the lifeboat. She then looked at Lin Fei with pleading eyes and uttered weakly.

Looking at her dry lips and bleach pale face, she was obviously extremely weak.

But she wasn't the only one looking like that. Liu Qing and Lee Fei'er's lips were also parched like crached earth. Their face appeared similarly pale and weak.

Even Lin Fei himself felt hungry at that moment. His lips were parched, and he felt rather dizzy.

It quickly became obvious that they needed to replenish their supply of food and water immediately. In order to survive the storm earlier, they held onto the wooden handles of the lifeboat with all their strength, which had consumed almost all of their energy.

Having survived through the storm, they were once again placed in a terrible predicament. If they failed to find any freshwater and replenish their energy in time, they could very well fall into a coma at any time from hypoglycemia.

"What should we do?"

Looking at the three women staring back at him, Lin Fei honestly had no idea what to do.

Not only were they soaked in seawater and rain water, the cold and hunger had completely extinguished their last hope of survival.

At that moment, Lin Fei felt as if they could only wait for their inevitable death.

Pulling the three beauties together into his embrace, he could only do his best to warm them up and wait for dawn to arrive.

However, the night out at sea was simply far too cold. Even when they hugged each other tightly, they still could not help but start shivering.

"Brother Lin Fei, are we going to die?"

Xi Mengwei asked Lin Fei in a daze.

In their terrible condition, Xi Mengwei could not help but utter such ridiculous words.

"That won't happen!"

"Mengwei, believe me!"

"We will definitely make it out alive!"

Lin Fei gritted his teeth and said in a resolute tone.

In fact, he had also lost all confidence in their chances of survival. However, he did not want to make them feel even more despair.

Just like that, the four of them continued to hug each other tightly to warm themselves up. As such, they managed to endure their chilling night out at sea.

At daybreak, the sun peeked over the horizon from the east and lit up the surface of the deep sea, dispelling all the darkness and cold. At the same time, it woke up Lin Fei and the three beauties.

Lin Fei slowly propped himself up from the lifeboat as he looked at the deep blue sea in front of him with an unfocused gaze.

Suddenly, on the surface of the ocean right before him stood a lush green island that caught his eyes.

"Am I hallucinating?"

Lin Fei rubbed his eyes and looked in front again in disbelief.

"An island..."

"It's an island!"

"Lin Fei, look, there's an island in front of us!"

At that moment, Liu Qing, who was in a better condition, suddenly felt invigorated. Jolting up in an instant, she pointed at the island in front and exclaimed in excitement.

Hearing her words, Lin Fei could confirm that it was not an illusion, but rather an actual island filled with greenery in the middle of the ocean.
