Eons Venerable Lord

The little girl's voice was trembling, as if she had been frightened by something, and she was unable to say a single word.    

Ling Feng took out a coat from the storage ring and put it on the little girl. His eyes were gentle. He gently patted the little girl's head and smiled. "Little girl, don't be afraid. Big brother is not a bad person!"    

There was still fear in the little girl's eyes, but there was a trace of hope. She naively asked, "Really?"

Ling Feng knew that the little girl must have been too frightened, so he did not ask anymore. He took out some dry food and gave it to the little girl. The little girl hesitated for a moment. She licked her dry lips and couldn't help but grab it. Then, she ate it cleanly in two or three bites.    

"Eat slowly, I still have more!"    

He then took out some more and gently watched the little girl wolf down the food.    

When the little girl stopped eating, Ling Feng asked, "I am a disciple of Cangnan Academy. My name is Ling Feng. What's your name?"    

"My name is Shui'er!" The little girl seemed to have put down her guard against Ling Feng. She stopped stuttering and said in a tender voice. Her voice was very pleasant, like the sound of spring water. It was pleasing to the ear and her name was like a person - like water.    

"The name is very nice!"

"But I can't find my mother now!" Shui'er said, feeling wronged.    

"It's fine. Big Brother will take you to find your mother. If I can't find her, I can ask my academy for help. I will definitely be able to help you find her!" Ling Feng comforted her.    

"Really?" Shui'er looked at Ling Feng with hope, her big watery eyes unblinking.    

Ling Feng nodded his head heavily. His firm look made Shui'er finally let down her last bit of defense. She threw herself into Ling Feng's arms and said, "Big brother, I miss mother so much!"    

Ling Feng gently patted Shui'er's weak back. His eyes were full of love, just like how big brother treated little sister. In a short while, Shui'er actually fell asleep.    

"The little girl must be tired!"    

Ling Feng helplessly shook his head. He picked Shui'er up and prepared to go to the meeting place to wait for the other three people to gather before making plans.    

However, just as he walked out of the room, he saw a figure standing at the door, looking at him indifferently.    

"Senior Fan?" Ling Feng was shocked. The person who came was none other than Van Yunhe.
